Why Great Bathroom Remodeling Starts With Design

A successful bathroom remodel begins long before tile is selected or fixtures are chosen. It begins with understanding how you use the space every day—what works, what doesn’t, and where thoughtful design can make the biggest difference.

At Gold & Co., we design around your daily routines, your storage needs, your home’s architecture, and the people who use the space. Whether it’s a primary bathroom, guest bathroom, or powder room, every decision is made with purpose before a single product is specified.

The result isn’t simply a more beautiful bathroom. It’s a bathroom that works better every single day.

Every Bathroom Is Different. Every Design Should Be Too

Not all bathrooms serve the same purpose, and not all bathroom remodels should follow the same approach. The priorities that make a master bath exceptional are completely different from what makes a powder room work. At Gold & Co. we design each space around its specific role in your home and the people who use it.

Primary Bathroom Remodeling

Designed to make busy mornings easier and quiet evenings more relaxing, with custom storage, luxury showers, timeless materials, and layouts that improve the way you live every day.

Hall & Guest Bathroom Remodeling

Durable, easy to maintain, and designed for family life or overnight guests without sacrificing beauty or thoughtful storage.

Powder Room Remodeling

The smallest room often creates the biggest impression. We use distinctive vanities, beautiful lighting, carefully selected tile, and refined finishes to create memorable powder rooms.

Common Questions About Bathroom Remodeling

Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often from homeowners considering a bathroom remodel in St. Louis. Have a question that isn’t answered here? Bring it to your complimentary consultation, and we will walk through it together.

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in St. Louis?

Bathroom remodeling costs vary based on the size of the room, layout changes, cabinetry, tile, fixtures and level of customization. Gold & Co. can help establish realistic ranges for our design services, vanities, tile, countertops, fixtures, lighting and other products we supply. Your contractor will separately price demolition, construction, installation, plumbing, electrical work and other jobsite labor.

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the layout changes, material lead times, and your contractor’s construction schedule. Most bathroom projects move through the Gold & Co. design phase in approximately four to eight weeks after measurements and project engagement. Timing depends on the project scope, client decisions and revision requirements. Construction timing is established separately with the contractor. We provide timeline guidance throughout the process so expectations are clear from the beginning and nothing comes as a surprise.

Do you handle tile and plumbing?

Gold & Co. designs and specifies the space and can supply tile, vanities, countertops, plumbing fixtures, hardware and lighting. We do not perform plumbing, tile installation or construction. We provide the contractor and trades with drawings, specifications and product information to support the approved design.

Can you redesign a small bathroom?

Absolutely. Some of the most rewarding projects we work on are smaller spaces where thoughtful layout planning and careful material selection make an outsized difference. A small bathroom done well can feel complete, considered, and genuinely beautiful. Often the biggest transformation comes not from adding square footage but from rethinking how the existing space is organized and used.
