How Gold & Co. Came to Be

We’ve always believed the best kitchens and bathrooms aren’t designed around products. They’re designed around people.

When our family moved from Sydney, Australia to St. Louis in 2018, we were immediately struck by the warmth of the people and the importance of home. It didn’t take long to see that life here revolves around gathering—whether it’s a quiet morning before work, a busy weeknight, Sunday football, or holidays around the kitchen table. Those everyday moments reinforced something we already believed: the spaces we live in shape the way we live.

Naomi founded NG Living with an architectural approach to residential design, building a reputation for creating kitchens and bathrooms designed around the families who use them.

Throughout that journey, Steve was a trusted advisor, helping shape the business while building an international career leading teams, developing long-term partnerships, and delivering complex projects. As Gold & Co. began to take shape, he stepped into the business full-time, bringing those complementary strengths together to build a true family business.

Together, we created a boutique showroom designed to inspire possibilities, not define them. We believe there’s no substitute for experiencing exceptional cabinetry, natural stone, fixtures, and finishes in person. Seeing craftsmanship up close builds confidence and sparks ideas—but the showroom is only where the conversation begins.

Our goal is simple: to make the renovation process feel clear, enjoyable, and well managed—so you can spend less time worrying about the project and more time enjoying the home that’s waiting on the other side.

Meet Naomi & Steve Gold

Naomi Gold

Founder & Lead Kitchen & Bath Designer

Every project at Gold & Co. is led by Naomi personally. From the first consultation through installation coordination, you work directly with the person who designed your space. There is no handoff and no moment where the details get lost in translation.

Naomi’s background is in architectural drafting, and that training shapes everything about how she approaches a project. Before a finish is selected or a door style is chosen, she is thinking about proportion, spatial logic, and how the space needs to function for the people who live in it. The aesthetic decisions come later, and they are better for it.

That combination of technical precision and design sensibility is what Gold & Co. clients experience from the very first conversation. Clients work directly with a designer who listens carefully, plans thoroughly, and remains closely involved through design, ordering, delivery, and installation questions.

Steve Gold

Managing Director and Owner

Steve brings decades of experience in leadership, partnerships, and execution to Gold & Co. After building an international career leading teams, developing long-term business relationships, and delivering complex projects, he now applies those same skills to helping homeowners navigate the renovation process with confidence.

Working alongside Naomi, Steve oversees operations, vendor relationships, product coordination and communication. He works closely with Gold & Co.’s cabinetry manufacturers, material suppliers and trade partners to help move approved designs and product orders smoothly from planning through delivery.

Steve values strong partnerships with people who take pride in their work. His role is to support the operational details behind each project while Naomi leads the design and product-specification process.

Visit the Gold & Co. Showroom

The Gold & Co. showroom is where the design process often begins in earnest. It is one thing to look at inspiration images on a screen. It is another to hold a cabinet door sample, run your hand across a countertop material, and see how a hardware finish looks under real light next to the other selections you are considering.

The showroom is set up as a working design centre rather than a product display. When you visit, you are not browsing a catalog. You are sitting down with Naomi, talking through your project, and making real decisions with real materials in front of you. Cabinet door samples, finish options, countertop materials, hardware selections, and decorative lighting are all on hand to support that process.
